Sunday Morning Bible Hour  
 This is a modern day Sunday School Class meeting at 10 a.m. on Sunday in Room 3 at Journey of Hope. This is between the 8:30 and 11 am Worship services. The group is led by Pastors Bill Fix and Dave Anderson.  Join us Sunday morning for an in-depth study of God’s word. This group includes supportive class discussion and exploration. We think you will like it. 
 
Dinner Church   
On 
Wednesday Evenings at 6:30 pm a light dinner is served prior to a dynamic interactive Bible Study at 7 pm. The Children and Youth break out into age level groups. Matt Parks is the regular Bible Teacher and the adults have a great time with a fun and interactive study of God’s Word.
 
Prayer and Share  
Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary.  Led by Pastor Matt Parks this weekly support group is designed to help us all through the joys and struggles of life by having a vibrant prayer life. The group prays for the requests of the church and many other things. Come and learn about prayer.
 
Jump Start AA  
Thursday evenings at 8:00 p.m. in the Taylor Room, we sponsor an Alcoholics Anonymous  group in our church. They meet on Thursday night at 8:00 p.m. For more information about Jump Start please see Shirley Wudarski or call the church office.
 
Stephens Ministry  
Ongoing as needed.  The Stephen Ministry at JOH provides pastoral care to people who are going through difficult times in their life. The care provided is one-on-one and very confidential. The Stephen Ministers have gone through over 50 hours of intense training on providing the care of a minister.  If you would like more information about how to obtain a caregiver or how you could train to become a Stephen Minister, please call the church office.
 
Worship Team
Praise and Worship through music is an integral part of every Church service and in many special events.  If you have a particular musical gift or talent, vocal, instrumental, or technical (soundboard, equipment, etc.) please contact our worship pastor, Matt Parks.  Rehearsals are usually conducted on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m.
 
Women’s Support Group
This group meets monthly on the 2nd Monday of the month and is led by our Director of Women’s Ministry Lynne Meharg. You will find this group to be friendly and will receive the support you need to tackle the challenges of life. Many in the group get together to make cards, do crafts, paint, and scrap book. 
 
Going Deeper 
Sunday evenings at 7:00 p.m.  Led by Pastor Matt Parks and Pastor Bill Fix.  Going Deeper is a two year long academic opportunity to develop one’s ministry and leadership skills.  Through classroom teaching and ample assignments involving various ministry related skills, everyone is able to deepen their walk and service for God.
 
Primetimers 
Special activities are arranged and led by John and Kay Burke.  Once you get past the college and career age the fun has just begun. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the Primetimers group of Journey of Hope Community Church provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction. They eat together, pray together, play together, travel together and more.  Event information will be provided in the bulletin, service announcements, or this Web Site.
 
All 4 Him Drama and Dance Team 
Rehearsals are on Sunday mornings usually at 9:00 a.m and are led by Paul O’Neil.  Our drama team has a long history of helping express praise and love to God through the art of dance and acting.  It is nothing too difficult.  Just another way to lift praises to God.  All For Him performs during the Worship Services, at community events, and wherever they are invited to perform. 
 
POW-Puppets of Worship
Rehearsals on first and third Mondays from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Through our award winning Church puppet team our hands are full and our purpose is to spread God’s word through creative and joyful performances for all ages.  Practice time includes prayer, journaling and just having fun together.  Performances for Church services, special events,  community outreach programs and competitions.
 
Maple Heights Senior Center 
Third Sundays from 3:30 to 4:00 p.m.  Meet at and leave the Church at 3:00 p.m.  We have a short monthly worship service at their senior center complex with music, testimonies, and a short message.  If this is something you might be interested in, contact Pastor Hank Sower.
 
WoW- Women of Worship 
Third Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m.  Led by Holly Smith.  WoW stands for Women of Worship, helping moms with children from birth through kindergarten to connect and build a loving and strong support system.  We are moms, and we believe that better moms make a better world by rallying women to be more honest, to feel more equipped and to find our identity by journeying along side one another. 
 
FUTURE SMALL GROUP OPPORTUNITIES
 
COMING IN APRIL NEW SMALL GROUPS – A new approach to Small Groups. More groups will be meeting in homes. Each group will have at least 4 members, a Leader, a Recruiter, an Administrator, and a Trainer. We are going to start with two groups using this model and the goal is to multiply the groups every three months or so. Pastor Dave Anderson is leading this effort and right after Easter 2017 we will begin. If you are interested in being a part of this please see Pastor Bill or Pastor Dave. 
 
Veterans Support Group
(TBD) Led by John Burke.  Community activities and support for all veterans involved with our Church.  Contact John for more information and to become involved.
 
WIP-Work in Progress (a creative prayer group)
(TBD) Lead by Sarah Rowsey, Work in Progress, WIP, is a place to get a closer relationship with our Creator by exploring new prayer journal techniques and creating special projects that will: remind us to pray daily, be gifts for those we are praying for, and be an expression of what God has laid upon your heart in prayer.
